A MIDDLE BRONZE AGE TERRACOTTA OIL LAMP Catalog:Pottery:Bronze Age: stock #1370481 Middle Bronze Age I; 2200-1950 BCE This early period oil lamp is created by bending the sides of a bowl inward to create the four nozzles seen here. Oil is placed in the lamp and four wicks are placed in either nozzle. It is this simple ingenuity that gives this lamp its charm as well as providing a large amount of light for its original owners.
