AN EAST GREEK BRONZE PHIALE MESOMPHALOS Catalog:Bronze:Greek Art: stock #1214223 c. 5th - 4th Century B.C. A shallow phiale, or offering vessel, with a minutely everted rim and a central omphalos. The omphalos surrounded by a rosette, most likely of a lotus blossom, in a tondo. Egg and dart design outside of the tondo. All decoration done in repousse. With a small piece of edge missing otherwise in excellent condition. Natural patina present. 8 x 1.3 inches (20.32 x 3.30 cms) Worldwide shipping and Certificate of Authenticity included in price.
